Gull & Stellan Ljungberg Foundation Scholarship
Uddevalla and Trollhättan
Since 2019, Gull & Stellan Ljungberg Foundation is offering a scholarship in partnership with the SCC. The scholarship offers an aspiring student with connection to Uddevalla and Trollhättan, who has recently completed their studies at a bachelor's or master's level at any other Swedish university, the unique opportunity to acquire international experience by joining the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for a period of 12 months. The scholarship is also offered to students enrolled at the School of Business, Economics and Law in Gothenburg, where applicants with connection to the municipalities of Uddevalla and Trollhättan are prioritised.
About the foundation
In memory of Gull and Stellan Ljungberg, a majority of the foundation's return is each year distributed to young students from the municipalities of Uddevalla and Trollhättan. The foundation prioritises applicants who study, participate in exchange semesters, or do fieldwork abroad.
Gull and Stellan ran a leather factory together in Uddevalla during their active years. They both traveled a lot and strived for new knowledge continuously. They made extensive use of both the English and German languages and had a great interest in international business and cultural life. Gull and Stellan donated a part of their fortune to the foundation to enable young students to gain that same international experience they both cherished so much.
The scholarship is open for applicants with connection to Uddevalla and Trollhättan, who have recently completed their studies at a bachelor's or master's level at a Swedish university.
Applicants that have recently completed the second year of a bachelor's or master's programme, or recently completed their studies at the School of Business, Economics and Law in Gothenburg are also welcome to apply. The scholarship is in first hand granted to applicants with connection to the municipalities of Uddevalla and Trollhättan.
Due to visa requirements, applicants must not have turned 26 years of age on or before 1 May 2024.
The period of duty at the Chamber spans from 6 June 2024 to 19 June 2025.
Applications for the 2024/2025 scholarship are now open. Please send your CV and personal letter in English, including proof of your connection to the municipalities of Trollhättan or Uddevalla, to Fredrik Warneryd, Chief Executive at the SCC, via e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org, latest by 15 January 2024.
