Scholarship from GKN Aerospace

If you are a student or staff member at University West, you now have the opportunity to apply for, or nominate someone else for, a scholarship from GKN Aerospace.

To be eligible for nomination, candidates must have made innovative and beneficial contributions with a clear industrial link.

The names of the scholarship recipients will be displayed on a plaque in the ‘GKN Hall’ at University West.

The award may be granted for specific and innovative collaborative initiatives within:

– Applied research
– Project
collaboration – Education

The scholarship recipient must, through their work, have achieved practical benefits that have benefited both the university and industry. (This may also include companies other than GKN).

Application/nomination

Applications/nominations should be sent to , describing what the nominee has achieved, the results of their work (preferably with references), and what further achievements can be expected. The deadline for applications is 14 November.

Decision by the scholarship recipient

The decision on scholarship recipients is made by a scholarship committee chaired by the Vice-Chancellor.
