SEK 30,000 for the best essay with a clear link to the property sector
Essay grant focusing on the property sector
The property sector forms the backbone of society and is one of Sweden’s largest and most important industries. In a changing world, the sector is constantly in need of new knowledge and insights. That is why Fastighetsägarna GFR is offering an essay scholarship of 30,000 Swedish kronor. The aim is to encourage students to take an interest in issues relating to the property sector.
The property sector is multifaceted and complex. As a trade association, Fastighetsägarna GFR is involved in everything from urban development and the functioning of the rental market to tax, energy and security issues. Provided the thesis topic has a clear link to the property sector’s activities, the scholarship is therefore open to students in all academic disciplines. Theses will primarily be assessed on the basis of methodological quality and subject-matter relevance. It is considered an advantage if the thesis’s conclusions can be generalised to different geographical locations.
What should the essay be about?
Possible essay topics could include, for example, the effects of rent control, an analysis of the Planning and Building Act, or an evaluation of safety-enhancing measures in residential areas. However, these are merely suggestions. Given the breadth of the property sector’s activities, in practice only your imagination sets the limits.
Eligibility criteria for the scholarship:
– The thesis must have a clear link to the property sector
– The thesis must be written during the academic year Autumn 2025/Spring 2026.
– The thesis must be at Bachelor’s, Master’s or postgraduate level.
– The thesis must be linked to an educational institution within the geographical area of Fastighetsägarna GFR.
Scholarship winner
An external jury with expertise in the property sector selects the winner. The scholarship amount may be shared between several recipients. The recipient is expected to present the essay at a seminar and contribute to Property Owners’ own channels.
