Are you a student who has written a dissertation on the housing market and/or housing policy? If so, you can enter our competition for a chance to win 25,000 kronor. Submit your dissertation to us by 15 September 2026 to take part.

Background
Like many other countries, Sweden faces major housing policy challenges. The shortage of reasonably priced housing creates several problems for society. Young adults find it difficult to move out of their parents’ homes and many are hesitant to start a family. The business sector struggles to recruit staff for growth areas, and far too many households are burdened by unsustainable housing costs and overcrowding. Furthermore, housing has become one of the major class issues of our time, with vastly different conditions and opportunities for different groups in society.

Examples of possible topics include, but are not limited to:
– Investment calculations and construction decisions
– Sustainability in the housing sector.
– Swedish and/or foreign tenancy legislation.
– Tenant influence.
– Voter preferences and housing policy.
– Division of responsibility in urban development.
– Swedish housing policy from an international comparative perspective.
