The Royal and Hvitfeldt Foundation Education Scholarship 2026

The Royal and Hvitfeldt Foundation hereby announces 150 grants of SEK 15,000 each. The university and college grant may be awarded to students who meet all four of the following criteria:

  • Has a final certificate from upper secondary school in the former Gothenburg and Bohuslän
  • Was born in the Diocese of Gothenburg or was registered as a resident there when they began their upper secondary education within the diocese
  • Are on a low income
    and
  • Offers good prospects for success in academic studies

Only students who have completed at least 60 higher education credits of their undergraduate studies and intend to graduate from a state university or university college in Sweden, as well as the Stockholm School of Economics and Chalmers University of Technology, are eligible for the scholarship.

A student may only receive the scholarship once.

Students who have been awarded a scholarship will be notified at the end of November. The scholarship funds will be paid into the SUS account linked to the student’s personal identity number, which is normally the same account used for CSN payments.

Students who have not been awarded a scholarship will not be notified.

The application period is open from 15 August to 20 October each year.
